Meeting Notice

The next meeting of the AES Melbourne Section will be on Monday 9^th April at 7:30pm.

Steve Lincoln-Smith, MD of Innovative Music Australia, will present on

Format Wars in 2018 with Digital Audio Interfaces

Steve will be discussing the merits of USB, Firewire and the growth of the IP Ethernet-based systems. He will provide some practical examples using a selection of Focusrite and RME Audio Interfaces and associated software running during the evening.

One of our AES members has forwarded details to me of a series of audio webinars, which are currently running

They are being presented by Head Acoustics, and cover a range of audio/acoustic testing processes.

Meeting Report: Feb 2018 MCEC Tour

On Monday February 12th, eighteen members and guests of the AES Melbourne Section visited the Melbourne Convention Centre where Infrastructure and Equipment Manager Michael Walker gave us a tour of the complex.

Greeting us at the Convention Centre foyer, Michael gave us a short rundown of the history of the Centre, and an overview of the areas we would be visiting tonight.
We then moved on to the Master Control Room, where Michael gave us a run-through of the operation of this room in overseeing all technical operations.
