The next meeting of the AES Melbourne Section is on Monday 3rd June 2013 at 7:30pm
in Lecture Theatre EN515 at Swinburne University.
Our Chairman Mark Edwards will speak on the topic
Computer Interfaces for Audio
Much of today’s professional audio is captured, stored, edited, and replayed on computer hardware. Mark’s presentation will cover the technicalities and challenges of bringing the two disparate (and demanding) technologies together, with some real-world examples of successful strategies.
Mark is an experienced music and film sound recordist who trained as a Tonmeister – achieving a BMus (Tonmeister) at Surrey University in the UK. In addition to his recording work, Mark also has experience working in the computer industry, primarily in the area of storage and data protection.
