The next online meeting of the AES Melbourne Section will be on Monday 9th August 2021 at 7:30pm.
It will start with the Section’s Annual General Meeting (which should be a short affair – see https://www.aesmelbourne.org.au/agm/ for details)
and then at approx. 7:45pm Matt Harders of Amber Technology will present on:
Acoustics Made Easy
with
Primacoustic Products and Resources
Matt will describe the use of off-the-shelf acoustic panels and componentry for room acoustic treatment, covering a wide range of applications from listening rooms and home studios to large rooms and auditoriums.
He will cover the “where”, “why”, and “how” of acoustic treatment, going into detail about the practicalities of sound absorption.
He will identify which types of projects can be handled by DIY, and where the experts really do need to be called in.
He will also cover the use of online room design tools, like Primacoustic’s Room Designer to identify recommended room treatments.
About Matt Harders:
Matt Harders is Brand Manager, Professional Products at Amber Technology, representing brands like Canare, NTi Audio, VanDamme, Neutrik, REAN and Primacoustic.
Matt’s career in electronics/audio started as an apprentice electronics technician, moving up to a Service Manager position, ultimately joining Amber Technology as Technical Support Manager in 2007.
In this position he was responsible for supporting their network of service agents across Australia.
In 2015 he moved from technical support into his current Brand Manager role.
